Miss Ex? You are KILLING me!

Your boys are probably seeing all this stuff as a mildly interesting discovery, not to be fussed over. If I was there I'd be on my hands and knees in the hole cooing "OOH! A rock! I wonder if it's part of an old palace? And another rock! I'll bet this is from Cesear's day! And there's a rock over there too! WHOA!"

I'm just going to sit here and look at the pictures with my arms folded and a big HARRUMPH on my face.

Hmmm...italians would more likely say, "it'll be fine" instead of "you'll be fine." I'm not sure what your family's phrase is, but here's some help:

you'll be fine = tu starai bene
it'll be fine (more like, everything will go alright) = tutto andrà bene

but they're both awkward and not normally said in Italian.

I suppose the closest thing I have is when someone is wandering around the hills here and excitedly tell me they found an arrowhead, or saw some deer, or ask me what those big round holes in the ground are.

I yawn and say, "Oh, yeah, the place is riddled with arrowheads, the Indians left 'em all over the place," or "Those damn deer! They're the reason I can't grow tomatoes," or "Those are the cellars of the houses the Chinese laborers had back when this area was being settled during the Gold Rush."

Still, it doesn't have the same impact.
