Say what you want about Montpellier – and you know I do every chance I get – but the town really is gorgeous, and at Christmas time the shops put on quite a show. So, take a break from fighting the mall crowds and sigh with me at the precious, won’t you?
Retail space being what it is, the shops are on the ground floor of some very old buildings. The overwhelming majority of them use the existing space as it is, and add modern touches. Take a closer look at these pictures, and you will see the signature stone walls and arches in the interiors. They are pretty spectacular.
