You see these all over Rome, but these are some of my favorites that I see almost every day while I’m traipsing around my neighborhood. This one is carved into the aqueduct.

Oh my, this is, in a nutshell, why I am crazy for Italy. I love me a religious icon. I would love to have the last one hanging in my home. Amazing.

For all their flaws, the Italians have so many things right. Their understanding of beauty in every way is just about the most wonderful.
